I understand this is fiction, but the author doesn’t seem to know sh*t about guns. On the second track, about 59 minutes in, a character is instructed to shoot guns not by aiming, but by “feeling” where she will shoot, and to place the pistol safety back on when reloading.
This is absolute nonsensical bullsh*t. You don’t “feel” where a bullet goes, you AIM it; and switching a pistol safety back on before reloading is the DUMBEST SH*T I’ve heard! If you don’t have your finger on the trigger and it’s aimed away from anyone, there’s nothing to worry about; and if you’re reloading there isn’t anything to shoot out of the pistol anyway! Not to mention, if you’re in a firefight, you don’t have time for this “safety-off-safety-on-safety-off-again” nonsense bullsh*t.
This sounds like it’s written by someone without any knowledge and/or experience about guns or gun safety.

Tommy121….that’s basic military training.
They make you put the weapon into safety while reloading, walking with it, etc. Granted for a trained weapons expert this isn’t needed. But for a brand new person training to fire a weapon they train you to always keep the weapon on safety until you’re actually firing at something. Keep that in mind yeah?
